Legere Open Edu is an independent academic research initiative that has not yet completed its legal entity formation. This privacy policy has been prepared on behalf of the team managing the platform and will be updated once a legal entity is established.
The platform is offered as a free, non-profit academic service. This policy has been prepared in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and related legislation.
When you register on the Legere Open Edu platform, we collect personal data such as your full name, email address, university/institution, and department/field.
If you sign in with Google, we access your name, email address, and profile photo associated with your Google account. This access is solely for authentication purposes; no other data from your Google account is accessed.
When you visit the platform, technical data such as browser type, IP address, and pages visited may be automatically collected. This data is used for platform security and performance purposes.
Collected personal data is used solely for: membership and account management, workshop application evaluation, certificate issuance, and in-platform communication.
Your data is never shared with or sold to third parties for commercial purposes, nor used for marketing, under any circumstances. Legere Open Edu is a non-profit initiative.
Our platform uses Google OAuth for authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) also applies.
Workshops are conducted via Google Classroom, seminars via Google Meet, and colloquia via Microsoft Teams. Each service's own privacy policies apply. Legere Open Edu is not responsible for the data processing practices of these third-party services.
This platform is intended for individuals aged 18 and over. The platform is not designed for use by minors under 18. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a minor, such data will be promptly deleted.
Under the KVKK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or request restriction of processing of your personal data. For detailed rights information, please refer to our KVKK Information Notice page.

This privacy policy may be updated as needed. Significant changes will be announced on the platform and communicated to your registered email address. Your continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the changes.
